I’ve got a secret.

No one knows how I blow off steam, and that’s how I like it. Most of the time, I’m happy just being part of a big family in a small town. And those times I need to get away are mine and mine alone.

My secret stays safe until I meet her – the woman who simultaneously pisses me off and turns me on. She seems like a wallflower at first, but it turns out there’s a lot more to her than I realized. Despite her hidden strength, she has a vulnerability I can’t resist.

As we open up to each other, I realize she’s starting to mean everything to me. She doesn’t feel the same way, but that won’t stop me from doing whatever it takes to keep her safe – even if it means exposing my secret to her. I’m in way over my head, and all I can hope is that someday, she’ll feel the same way about me.

If you have not read book 1, Deep Down, I highly recommend you stop reading this and one click it. Deep Down was a deeply emotional 5 star read and a book that did a wonderful job portraying the Lockhart family. It so made me want to know more about each brother and the blurb of this book made me want Mason even more!

Book 1 is Reed Lockhart’s happy and an introduction to this wonderful family. In Deep is Mason’s story and yes I am so excited for what’s to come next for Kyle and Justin. Austin, the 5th brother, is happily married and wonderfully woven into this story.

In Deep has Mason falling for April, Ivy’s friend, who is brought into be the house mom for the home Ivy started for pregnant mothers. April is the house mom and it so fits her personality and how she was crafted in book 1.

The banter between the brothers is so much fun!
“Jesus, man. You go to knitting club with your wife? How pussy-whipped are you?”
My brother shoved my shoulder.
“I just went to hang out at Mom and Dad’s. I drank beer and talked to Dad the whole time.”
“Or did you knit a pink sack for Hannah to carry your balls around in?”

As Mason and April start to develop a relationship, witnessing them open up to each other, touched my heart. Mason’s reason why he prefers no strings was so powerful!

In Deep proves what an amazing author Ms. Rothert is becoming as she is masterfully able to show such a range as this series continues to develop. Each Lockhart has his own personality and his own story to tell!

OMG the scene with the brothers talking about sex was epic! And make me want a happy for newly divocred Kyle even more!

The happy that Mason and April come to was one that made me so happy for them. Mason is such a fun character to read and witnessing him fall for April and be the man his mom raised him to be touched me heart!

I want Kyle Lockhart’s story now!!! Ms. Rothert please please give this wonderful man his happy now!
