From New York Times and USA Today Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new novel.

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it. It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after…
And this one is ours.

I adored Brody Easton; The Baller was such a wonderful story. I have always loved a man who know what he wants and Brody is so that man! Added to that, Brody is so caring and compassionate.  He listens and his gestures are not about being grand but about being personal, so touching!
Side note…I love discovering new authors to love. I have heard a lot about this author but had not had the chance to read her before. I am so happy I read this one; this author lived up to the hype as did the book (by the time I read it, it was already a NY Times best seller)
Ok with blurb that starts like this, I instantly wanted to know more:
The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
Delilah Maddox is that sportscaster; drawn to sports because her father was a professional football player. I love her character.  Not just her desire to push away who she thinks is a “player” but I adored her love of the game, her deep understanding of football shone through.
Delilah fights hard against the pull to Brody, mostly based on what she thinks she knows about him.
“Brody Easton, the man who’d entered my life like a storm, had turned out to be my calm. How was that for irony?
Turns out Deliah is very wrong. Brody isn’t a manwhore so much as man who has chosen to close his heart off due to events in his past. Well close his heart off relationships as he does love Marlene deeply, nope not telling this part of the story. It is so touching it needs to unfold as the author crafted it.
“We might have had different methods, but we were doing the same thing – protecting our hearts from loss again. You couldn’t get hurt it you didn’t let anyone in.”
This line… this line is so Brody, as I said above, how he shows Delilah he wants her kept me glued to my kindle and falling more and more in love with him
“For a guy who doesn’t believe in bullshit flowers and sweet gestures, you’re pretty damn good at them.”
Brody has dirty mouth, he wants Delilah and tells her is many ways:
“Why do you say things like that?”
He shrugged. “Because it’s true. If I could do anything I wanted on a day off, I’d do… you.”

Brody proves he wants more than just the physical but when the past returns can this new relationship survive?
Well I won’t tell you how it plays out but I will tell you the end warmed my heart and the epilogue oh the epilogue touched my soul!
