This was my first book by this author and I was impressed!  I am going to try to relay my love of this story without giving away much beyond the blurb.

So much in this blurb had me wanting to read it and see where the author took the story… well let me just say the author did not disappoint because I loved this one!

I picked up this book when I needed a great read, something that would pull me in and keep me wanting to read and this book delivered that in spades!

Monroe was so well written, the reader understands why she chose the life she did and more importantly why things are now changing; changing in ways Roe never imagined!

“I prepared myself for the usual anxiety I felt when encountering a one-on-one situation with an unfamiliar man, but it  never surfaced. And in its place, a profound sense of fascination filled me. I bit my lip, finding myself oddly excited to be in his presence, and that was the part that unsettled me.”

The secondary characters in this book didn’t just add to this story, they became the story! There is so much wonderful dialogue in this story, engaging banter, amazing character interactions all tied into a plot that as I said will keep you glued to your kindle.

This line, which is repeated in the story, plays such a wonderful part in the story:

“You and me. We’re a team. To the very end.”
“To the very end.”

The author did a wonderful job at evoking a range of emotions from the reader, there were times I wanted to cry with and for these characters, there were times I wanted to strangle them, and there were times I laughed with them. But more importantly, I think the author had me wanting them all to find their true happy!

The point in which the prologue ties into the story was so well done; though I saw it coming, I loved how it was executed. I should also add that it was not until this moment, well a few scenes later, that I truly fell in love with Colin!  How he handles this chain of events showed true character growth and provided the reader with a man they will want to be happy, no matter what the price of that happy! (I know, I know- vague, read the book!).

I adored the alternating POV’s and I especially loved when we got to hear from Colin.
