What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message.
How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice…
Advice #1 – First, purge your apartment of all things him—by tossing his belongings off the balcony.
Advice #2 – Do not, I repeat do not, throw anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor.
Advice #3 – When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss.
Advice #4 – Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral.
Advice #5 – Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser.
If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache.
Xo,
LOVESICK IN LAKE STARLIGHT
I love the family dynamic between the Bailey siblings… they are so close, always taking care of each other and always wanting the best for one another.
I know from the get-go that Jeff was not the one for Brooklyn so wasn’t surprised when he left her. I loved watching Brooklyn grow into her own… into a strong, independent single woman without Jeff. Even more so, I LOVE the Bailey family and how they protect one another, support one another, and love so wholeheartedly… reading these books are like coming home to family and I adore their interactions.
Wyatt is her next door neighbor and sparks fly despite her wanting to guard her heart and then finding out he is her new boss.
I adored watching these two build a friendship that turned into something more. Even more, I loved watching Wyatt put his foot down with his overbearing dad to do what he wants… to be with who he wants… screw the consequences. Being a savvy businessman, I enjoyed him showing Brooklyn how to expand on her interests… this was really important to me because having that support and someone believing in your passion is so meaningful.
Readers who enjoy small-town romance books, and siblings who love and really care for one another should pick this series up ASAP!!! The town blog is probably one of my favorite things about this series and makes it really unique and fun. I can’t wait to continue reading to get each Bailey sibling’s HEA!
