I love love stories especially the kind where the main characters knew each other as young kids and Kim Karr didn’t disappoint with Mended.  Xander and Ivy, two young kids so in love with each other with a huge connection to music.  They have a bright future together until they are torn apart…so many miscommunications and misunderstandings that eventually drive this couple apart.  Unfortunately what we learn now as adults is to communicate and to talk through things but sadly this doesn’t happen with these two and they grow up, grow apart and have totally separate lives from each other.

Years later, Xander is now the manager for River and the band – The Wilde Ones and because of their earlier connection with music, Xander and Ivy are thrown into each others lives again.  And though both resist and try to fight it, their attraction and love is undeniable.

Fate works in mysterious ways and has brought these two back together, but can they both get over the pain from their past to find a future together?  Is their love strong enough, can Xander gain Ivy’s trust again, will they get the HEA together that they so deserve?

Kim Karr yet again does what she does best….building upon this world she created, she continuously gives us such depth and emotions that immerses us into her stories and we fall in so deep, rooting for her characters to find their happy.  Kim has continued to grow as a writer and her stories get better and better each time.

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don’t need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There’s nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore–it’s time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart. <3
