Denise here… It brought a big smile 😃 to my face to look back at the fabulous books I read in 2018!
Here are my favorites for the year!
This year I am NOT numbering my picks… they are in alphabetical order by title.
These books are so varied they can’t be compared to each other
- Aiden by Melanie Moreland I loved Aiden and Cami’s love story. Putting the ghosts of your past to rest and embracing the love in front of you… Aiden captured my heart
- Beau by Nicole Edwards I was so grateful to return to the love story that is Ethan and Beau. The reader is allowed to experience this couple making love work and gets a bit more Beaut than in Ethan. This book should be read after Ethan.
- Come in From the Cold by Tymber Dalton If you have never read a m/m love story this is a perfect place to start, you will believe really believe Doug Connor and their children were meant to be a family. This one is second chance romance and then some
- Five Years Gone by Marie Force Ok… this one below me away so much so that I never went live and made a video. This is the kind of book that reminded my why I read; the author tells a story and the reader is pulled in and goes along for the ride!
- Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis the only non romance book on the list and the only book on the list I listened too. I loved the chapters on Working Motherhood and I highly recommend this one audio. This is a great one to 1-click going into the New Year.
- Havoc by Kindle Alexander This go to author for did not disappoint Alec and Keyes captured my heart and I am looking forward to their story continuing in Order releasing in 2019.
- King Consort by JR Gray This was a new author to me and a book I devoured. Louie and Xavier journey to happy was engaging and heart pulling. Love for a gay man set to be king complicated by falling for a journalist is a story you will want to read!
- Kissing Jenna by Kristen Proby Jenna and Christian’s story was pure romance; I had a hard time picking a favorite Proby book but ultimately went with this one as it reminded me so much of why I feel in love with this author’s writing
- Marek by Sawyer Bennett this was a powerful second chance love story and the final book in a Cold Fury series that I adored. Marek’s happy was one he never imagines for himself, I mean how could he given the secret kept from him but in the end you know he wouldn’t want his happy any other way!
- Pride & Joie by ME Carter Ms Carter stole my heart with this book about adults making love with in their busy lives.
- Royally Yours by Emma Chase I am not usually a “historically” romance reader but this book blew me away! Royally Yours is the making of a Queen and a love story for the ages.
- Speakeasy by Sarina Bowen Ms Bowen continues to amaze with her talent, this book offers a range of emotions and an engaging story line that weave character and career development with perfection.
- Something So Unscripted by Natasha Madison Denise and Zach captured my heart and soul, this story kept me glued to me kindle. Very close behind was Something so Irresistible but in the end Something So Unscripted has probably one of the best epilogues I have ever read and isn’t everyday you get a character named after you
- Tattered by Denvey Perry I love discovering new authors, Tattered bought me a hero I adore and new must click author. I can NOT believe I am saying this as I type this… Tattered is currently FREE
- The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon this book, this book was WOW… the use of mental health was one of the best I have ever read, this story will sit in my soul for a very long time to come.
- Tiebraker by P Dangelico ughh.. just thinking about Noah puts my stomach in knots such deep emotions in this one.
- Trailer Park Heart by Rachel Higginson I was pulled into this one from the opening words and kept a tight grip on my kindle as Ruby’s story unfolded, this is not your typical love story and that made me love it even more. Oh and this book is the reason the collage was struggle, I had my list of reads all set and then I open this one on December 13th and was blown away! So I edited the list and made an odd number of books work.
Wishing you and your a happy Holiday Season and a 2019 filled with love, health and amazing reads!
