Summer nights and star-crossed lovers! From USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen.
Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few crucial details.
I didn’t know he was a rock star.
I didn’t know his real name.
Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.
And I sure never expected to see him again.
Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.
OMG….. Sarina Bowen did an amazing job introducing the Hush Notes world in Lies and Lullabies, she crafts a world that pulls the reader in from the opening lines. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a whole day engrossed in Jonas the lead singer’s story.
Bowen is a truly gift storyteller who has become a must read for me. In this one she masterful makes the reader love Jonas despite his “lies”…… nope not telling read the book!
From the moment Jonas and Kira meet the connection is tangible and so much more than sexual. I adored how Jonas bonded with Kira, how her simple acts of kindness for what she thought a songwriter spending the summer in her small hometown touched his heart.
The way Jonas returns to Kira’s world was powerful as the emotions bleed off the pages…..
As the blurb shares that summer 5 years ago produced adorable Vivi, this little lady was so much fun to read; her negotiation skill and wit made for rich and engaging dialogue.
And Jonas interacting with Vivi…. just wow… his nickname for her “Little Sweetness” melted my heart
In the end the happy these two find is so very perfect for them!
I do hope Kira’s brother, Adam gets a happy because man did he ever pull at my heartstrings!
I am beyond excited for Quinn the drummer’s story coming Rifts and Refrains from Devney Perry and then… then… Nixon… the guitarist’s story in Muse and Melodies by Rebecca Yarros.
Oh and please a story for Ethan too…….

I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Sarina and was really looking forward to this book. Sadly, I couldn’t get into it hence DNF, something I never thought I’d do with a Sarina book.
Thanks for you thoughtful review.
