Manning
As captain of the Dallas Oilers, I was their leader on and off the ice. From the outside, it looked like I had the perfect life.
I didn’t.
I was married to a woman who refused to give me a divorce. All she wanted was the status title, and all I wanted was to be set free.
It was supposed to be just another event, except it took a turn I didn’t see coming.
Evelyn
Attending my best friend’s bachelorette party isn’t something I was looking forward to.
But it’s strange what a couple of glasses of wine will do.It was one night, and I thought I would never see him again.
Especially not coming face-to-face with him and his wife while picking up my nephew from hockey practice.
All it takes is one kiss, one touch, one chance, and only one night.
Only One Night by Natasha Madison was a look at what is love is supposed to be… how it is supposed to make you feel and the person you become when you are loved for who you are!
Manning and Evelyn brought such a huge smile to my face as they navigate their connection while in a very complicated place in their lives.
Madison masterfully handles a story about a married man… a man whose wife is well…. read the book..
will make your skin crawl…..This book will remind the reader that people’s life aren’t always what they seem from the outside…. and this will make your heartbreak for Manning… a man with so much love to give… a Dad who adores and puts his son, Jaxon
The author does an amazing job at making it clear how very different Evelyn is, she cares about Manning as a person and makes sure to include and consider his son’s feelings (in sharp contrast to the boy’s mother)
The use of many in the Only One world to help Manning find his forever happy crafter a story that kept me engaged and so very happy for how it worked out. The use of Becca, Manning’s agent, was so very perfect!
I am so excited for the Dallas Oilers owner, Nico to have his story told next in Only One Touch!
Note to Readers:
Cheating is a hard limit for me in a book and I typically decline to read books with cheating and have known to put books down for it…. when I first read Manning in the prior books in the series Madison did an amazing job of getting the reader to FEEL for his situation….. in this “twisted” version of a married man trope and I am so beyond happy for Manning and Evelyn and Jaxon. If as a romance reader you are skeptical because of the blurb, please do not be, I assure you it works….
