Synopsis
Growing up, Chyna was handed everything on a silver platter. She never wanted for anything, except love—unconditional love from her parents. Love was a foreign emotion, and watching her parents love/hate relationship was never easy.

So when it came to her personal life, she made sure she never had to relive that. With looks that could kill, it was simple for Chyna to be the love ’em and leave ’em kind of girl. And she had always been okay with it. She would rather be single the rest of her life then end up as miserable as her parents. So when a man rescued her after she was drugged in a night club, she never expected to start a relationship with him.

But one chance meeting changes it all. Chyna is offered a once in a lifetime opportunity that could sky rocket her career, and she is forced to make a decision that could ruin everything.

I SO LOVE the Avoiding Series so when Chyna’s story came out, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!  I love Chyna – her no nonsense attitude, her strength of character, she really has it all.

But with having it all comes a price and they say money can never buy you happiness and the one thing that Chyna has always wanted was the unconditional love from her parents or really…from anyone.  And it’s hard to get that when you have the money and the beauty and don’t know what’s real and what’s not.

Chyna never expected to fall in love when Adam rescued her from the bar after being drugged that one fateful night.  This is Chyna’s story and reading it from her side and really seeing who she is on the inside breaks my heart.

Chyna doesn’t do relationships; she doesn’t let anyone into her heart so one night stands have always been the way to go because you don’t become close to anyone, you don’t get attached.

While dating Adam, Chyna must overcome many obstacles.  Namely how to stay committed and faithful to one person and what to do when the job opportunity of a lifetime comes about – how to choose?

This was a short novella and a great addition to the Avoiding Series as it added more insight into Chyna’s character.  I have to say that the SEX WAS HOT!  But I didn’t expect anything less from Ms. Linde 🙂  I did feel that while reading the book I had many WTH moments but in the end Chyna did make the right decisions for her at the time because she wanted to prove herself worth and in doing so learned the true meaning of love and how to really express it, recognize it, appreciate it and live it.

K.A. Linde graduated with her Masters in political science from the University of Georgia in 2012. She also has a bachelors in political science and philosophy.  She wrote her the Avoiding Series while struggling through advanced statistical modeling and writing her thesis. She enjoys dancing and writing novels that keep you guessing until the very end.
