A Park Avenue princess...
My story starts with a plunge into the cold water of Manhattan's harbor. A strong hand hauls me back onto the deck of the luxury yacht. Christopher was supposed to be my enemy, the son of my father's latest wife. Instead he protects me with fierce determination when I need him most. This tale begins with a fall, but it doesn't end there.
Because another man wants me.
Sutton wants to consume me with a passion more feral than kind. In the lush emotional wilderness I'm not sure I want Christopher to save me this time...
Or if there will be anything left if he tries.
SURVIVAL OF THE RICHEST is a book about finding your soul's desire, even if the search leads you places you never expect. A woman torn between two men. An impossible choice. And a war fought on the most dangerous battlefield--the heart.
OMG!!! This series was recommended to me by author Willow Aster so I jumped right in as I have had some time in my blogging schedule. I haven’t read a Skye Warren book since 2011 and it was definitely time. And OMG this book—yes there is a love triangle, yes there is angst, yes there is heat… OMG THE SEXY HEAT!
From Trust Fund (the prequel currently for FREE), we know that Christopher and Harper have known each other since their parents got married and have had a connection since he saved her from a near drowning experience. Survival of the Richest is their lives now, after Harper’s father has passed away leaving Christopher the executor to her trust fund and estate. I have to say that I didn’t completely love Christopher in this one. I had hoped that they would stay close over the years but maybe this was his way of keeping a barrier in between them from getting too close—from possibly feeling more.
Christopher wants to keep this wall up between them but as the reader, we can see that Harper means more to him than what he is letting on. Most especially when we meet Sutton, the other man in this scenario who sweeps Harper off her feet—someone who makes her feel more than she has ever felt before… safe.
I went back and forth a lot while reading this because while I was vested in Christopher and Harper eventually getting together, I couldn’t help but LOVE Sutton and how he treated her and how he seemed to be so open to her about her about his feelings.
The ending… OMG THE ENDING *cries* The intensity, the omg moments, the angst were killer and I am DYING for The Evolution of Man to see how this will all turn out… who will she end up with…
Thankfully I don’t have too long to wait for the next book and I can’t freakin’ wait!!!
Emotional, passionate, and complicated… Books like these are the best kinds of books to immerse yourself into and readers who love intense with their romance stories, should definitely start this series ASAP! Your heart will be pounding like crazy from the very first page. One click today!
