The good news is the most gorgeous cowboy I've ever seen is moving in next door to me. The bad news? He's not alone. Hanging on his arm is a very pregnant woman. Are they a couple? It sure looks like they are. So not only is he not gay, but he also has a girlfriend, or a wife, or whatever. Just my luck.

With a blurb like this:
“The good news is the most gorgeous cowboy I’ve ever seen is moving in next door to me. The bad news? He’s not alone. Hanging on his arm is a very pregnant woman”
I was instantly drawn to The Cowboy in Unit E . This series of standalones from Mr. Cook revolves around the residents of Mockingbird Place, an apartment complex.
This one gives the reader the story of Trace and the Cowboy who just moved into Unit E. Now I want to pause and say this review will be on the shorter side as the readers need to experience first hand how this Cowboy with a pregnant woman ends up with Trace.
I will say that “the why” made me love Luke, the Cowboy so much! Luke’s heart is pure as gold and he had me so hoping after the heartache that he would find the happy he deserved.
The pregnant woman by Luke’s side, Ava, was a wonderfully endearing character. Her bond with Luke was unbreakable, trust me that’s a good thing (you will see why) and the friendship she forges with Trace was so well done and truly needed for this happy to make sense.
I truly enjoyed seeing the men from The Marine in Unit A (http://amzn.to/1N0xzuz) their happy played out in this story with an event from this book tying right into their big day.
As the relationship between Luke and Trace develops, the tie from Trace’s artwork to his past is well played out, though it was dark at times it was tastefully done, spoke volumes about Trace and kept me engaged as it unfolded.
I loved the use of Trace’s roommate and best friend Jackson. This book shows  how two gay men can be friends without sex or attraction playing into it.
I am looking forward to reading The Fireman in Unit C, as Jackson and Eli get their story told!

Though starting in straight erotic romance, Kris’s total focus now is on gay romance. When asked why recently, his answer was “My muse finally came out of the closet. Isn’t it about time? I’ve been out since I was twenty-five.”

A voracious reader, Kris loves many genres of fiction, but this writer’s favorite books are romances that are edgy, sexy, with rich characters and unique challenges. Kris’ influences include Anne Rice, JR Ward, Lexi Blake and Shayla Black.
