Sure Shot by Sarina Bowen was such a great read …… During time when I have been struggling to read Tank and Bess kept me glued to my kindle!

This second chance romance tells the story NHL hockey player Mark “Tank” Tankiewicz and sports agent Bess Beringer dated early in their careers, I want to pause here and say they why behind the breakup was so well done and a real reflection on how woman are viewed in the workplace.

Bess and Tank are brought into each other’s orbit when he is traded to the Brooklyn Bruisers as team Bess has strong ties to not only due to work but because it is the team her brother, Dave played for. Dave’s story is told in Bountiful another book I adored from this author!

OK back to Bess and Tank… Tank.. poor Tank… he has lost his mojo on so many level. Both on and off the ice he is struggling to find his groove. The why behind some of his personal heartache is revealed slowly with masterful skill by the author.

In the closing chapters of this book attraction morphs into deep connection as these open up to each other and decide truly decide they want to make this work.  The communication that than deepens the relationship speaks volumes to the characters growth.

The epilogue of this story for me made this book pure forever.…. It had me knowing these two belonged together and kept me with the biggest ear to ear grin!
