A new standalone novel in the Brooklyn Bruisers world!
Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.
Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.
But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.
While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.
But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.
She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.
Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing to win.
SUPERFAN by Sarina Bowen was a very entertaining and current read. I adored the use of social media and loved the second chance feel of this book.
Superfan is set in Ms Bowen’s Brooklyn Bruisers world and is very easily read stand alone.. how do I know because I read it standalone having only read a cross over into her amazing Vermont series and one other.
Silas Kelly is an NHL goalie who had to fight… really fight… for his dream to play in big league was so adorable; yes I just called a huge muscular NHL goalie adorable because he was! Silas is open with his feelings, sharing of his heart and very willing to put himself out there. It appears he has learned the lessons of chasing your dreams takes risk and he does that in spades with Delilah Spark.
You see Delilah Spark in a huge deal in the music industry but to Silas she is the one who got away. I am not going to say more about that as this second chance romance is best experienced by the reader than told to you by a review.
Delilah and Silas have an ease about them, they fit together both in the past and the present.
Oh and Frank I loved loved Frank; nope not telling read the book!
Both characters respected each others ambition and careers and in the end you know with all your heart both want to make love work!
The happy they find is so perfect for them!
