I have been reading Leylah Attar since her debut novel and she is like fine wine… she just gets better and better with each successive book and I have loved each and every one of them.

Leylah has this wonderful ability of mixing romance with suspense and intrigue and when combined with her beautiful words all mixed in… it’s just MAGIC.

If you’ve read The Paper Swan, you will remember our hero Rafael. Vee and Rafael’s journey starts in the present day when Vee and Rafael argue over her high-risk pregnancy and he leaves the house in anger to not return. The reader is taken on a roller coaster ride into the past and present, the suspense woven in is all-consuming and the beautiful imagery that Attar describes is palpable and real.

I loved every moment… trying to figure out what I was missing, putting myself in the detective’s head and trying to solve the mystery, all the while living the pain with our strong heroine Vee who just wants her husband back.

I can’t reveal too much because the fun in reading is the big reveal and you have to experience this on your own. The Night Blossoms is my new Attar favorite… though I say that about all of her books because I just truly love them all!
