Richard VanRyan has it all.
A loving wife, a beautiful family, great friends, and a career he excels at.
He's riding high on the crest of life.
What happens when the ride stops?
When the unthinkable becomes reality and life may never again be the same?
The Contract has changed.
Can Richard and Katy overcome The Amendment?
I highly recommend reading The Amendment by Melanie Moreland AFTER you read the multi-week NY Times Bestselling book The Contract and the followup novella The Baby Clause.
The Amendment takes place after those books as readers drop in on Richard and Katy. I am going to be VERY careful to not saying anything that will spoil this read so here goes…
The Amendment is a true test to a marriage without the reader ever questioning Richard and Katy’s love for each other. Yes, I know that sounds tough to do but Moreland pulls this amazing feat off in spades.
Life happens, life throws you curve balls, life puts obstacles in the way of love and happy…. the true test of love is how do you respond on this tough time.
The author kept these characters true to themselves and allowed the reader to be present as they in the end fought to find happy again.
This book is stark reminder that for better or worse is very much a real things as life can pivot on a dime and then… then… you have to decide really decide is love is worth fighting for.
Ok one spoiler.. there is NO cheating in this book!
If you haven’t read the prior book 1-click The Contract Series and hold on for a great ride to forever love!

Thank you for the heads up! I’ll do that. Great review.

I’m so thankful for the small spoiler you gave. The synopsis for ‘The Contract’ caught my attention and I always search reviews before buying. I learned of ‘The Baby Clause’ and ‘The Amendment’. So I checked those reviews to see if I wanted to even start a series if the other books ruined the feelings of the initial story. I got very concerned when reviews of ‘The Amendment’ said that Richard became just like he was before. I could tell from what was said that his tyrannical, mean behavior was back, but there was no clue whether he was a playboy again. I was very troubled, and though many shared about their strong love, I didn’t have peace, especially after one review mentioned he’s dealing with his self perception and I’m thinking ‘oh no! does he feel the need to prove his appeal or machismo?!’
So, thank you, thank you for the one thing you decided to give a spoiler about. I’m going to start reading ‘The Contract’ and then the rest of the series!
