She’s vowed to hate him for all eternity. He’s vowed to love her forever. Can a second chance be the tiebreaker?
Professional tennis star and everybody’s darling, Maren Murphy is going home. Unfortunately, going home is the last thing she wants to do.
She doesn’t know what’s worse, being named the executor of her grandfather’s estate, or having to deal with her grandfather’s business partner, Noah Callahan.
That devil’s spawn may have broken her young, tender heart, but this time it’s advantage Murphy. If anyone’s calling game, set, and match, it’ll be Maren.
Re-match on.
Noah Callahan is a screw up. Well…he used to be a screw up. Bad boy reputations, however, are not easily shed.
He’s been a successful business owner for over a decade. You would think the people in his hometown would’ve forgiven and forgotten already, but alas no.
Until his one shot at redemption walks back into his life. Maren Murphy is the only woman he ever loved––and the only one he purposely drove away.
Tiebreaker is second chance romance that moved me and touched my heart!
Chasing your dreams, big dreams has consequences, some you embrace, some you accept and some you did even see coming.
This is a book about forgiveness and I whole hardheartedly believed Maren’s decision was the right decision for her and that she can Noah truly belong together. Though the journey to their happy was filled with pain, the journey allowed these two who found each other very young to be the adults we bare witness to the in the story.
Dangelico masterfully wove past and present to allow the reader to feel the depth of the connection between Maren and Noah.
The story around Maren’s sister, Annabelle fit so perfectly into this story; how the events affected Maren, how it impacted her relationship with her parents. I hope Annabelle get a happy in a future book.
In the end as the story reveals itself in painful detail, my heart was in my throat and stomach in knots as the emotions bleed off the pages. Maren’s heartbreak, Noah’s tears and the years spent missing that other part of themselves came together with beauty and grace as these two opened up and lived their truth.
I really don’t want to give away more, the author’s revealing of the story kept me glued to my kindle; kept my mind running back to the story even when I put it down and had my forcing myself to read slow to savor the story told.
I do have to say Noah’s action while he and Maren were apart, the bit revealed toward the conclusion of the story made me want to reach through my kindle and give him a big hug!
