First there was pain, and now there is just… nothing. No one can ever understand the losses I’ve suffered. A solitary existence that consists of my work and the empty house that serves as a constant reminder of all I have lost.
After months of paralyzing emptiness, I turn to The Wicked Horse so I can feel something. Anything, really. Any shred of emotion that will explain why I’m still here. Any justification for why my life was spared and theirs were not.
It’s all in vain. Not even the debauchery of the notorious sex club can fill the hollowness that consumes me.
Until she walks in.
Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous and bends to my will. Gives me her body willingly, while expecting nothing more from me than the pleasure I offer her. And the more she gives, the more I find myself wanting to take.
Wanting to crawl out of my personal hell for this wicked angel.
Wicked Angel by Sawyer Bennett features a truly wounded hero…. Benjamin’s pain is tangible and bleeds off the pages.
Benjamin a highly successful surgeon is simply going through the motions when we meet him, numb to much around them… well nude when he isn’t being distant and snapping at those close to him.
He used the Wicked Horse as an escape, a way to feel something anything, even if it is just the high from an orgasm for a few moment post sex haze.
From the minute he connects with Elena it is clear she is different for him.
The author did an amazing job at making it clear to the reader that this connection transcended sex…. The reader is able to slowly see Benjamin open up and feel again.
Oh it is not easy… and when the emotions coming pouring in I wished I could reach into my Kindle as hug him! Side note speaking of my Kindle… I adore my Kindle Oasis as it is waterproof…. I read much of this one while soaking in the tub in the evenings on vacation.
The happy these two find is so perfect…. the healing, the love, the connection made my heart sing.
This book can absolute be read stand alone.. the common thread in the series is a sex club.. so if the blurb grabs you dive in, you will be happy to did!
