HE is trying to piece together his broken life.

SHE is running away from her wedding day.

THEY meet in San Francisco.

From the beginning they agree not to exchange anything truthful about their lives, not even their real names. Instead, as they embark on an unplanned tour of California, they construct the perfect lives they wish they led. As they hide behind grandiose stories, witty banter, and suggestive winks, their romance blooms. But when their dark pasts finally catch up, will they have the courage be who they really are and find a future together?

He + She is a free-spirited romance about soul-awakening second changes, heartbreak, and hopeful beginnings.

This is my first Michelle Warren book and will certainly not be my last.  I give total credit for reading this book because my friends Brandee and Jenn Sterling encouraged me to read it and I am SO glad that I did.  This was a really enjoyable, inspirational and heart felt story of finding love in the most unexpected places.

As the blurb states, both characters are running from their pasts and fate brings them together in San Francisco where they meet and from the get go, I know in my heart that it was their destiny to meet.  I LOVE their interactions – the playfulness, the laughter, their free spirit with each other.  It was mesmerizing to be part of and I found myself constantly laughing out loud or smiling from their bantering.

To live life with so much fun and adventure was a treat to be a part of and I found the characters becoming embedded into my heart, I liked them immensely as they were developed so fully and completely, there was no real drama in this story and I just had a constant smile on my face.

For me, these characters though running, were always searching and running to each other.  They were SO good together and provided the comfort, security and safety they needed in their lives; kind of like missing puzzle pieces – they were meant for each other.

So while I didn’t know what to expect from this book, I have to say that there were some total shockers and surprises that Ms. Warren revealed to us as we continued this journey with Shea and Hew.  I love when an author keeps you guessing and He + She for me, was something new and different and I truly enjoyed my experience.

If you are looking for something unexpected, with characters who are so passionate about life, and a love that will make you feel completely full of love in your heart, give He + She a try! I promise you that you will not regret it.

I look forward to reading more from this author <3

About Michelle Warren

If Michelle Warren had a spirit animal, it would be a tiger in a pink tutu, riding a Harley through a ring of fire. She lives in Chicago, dreams of California but hails from Baltimore. She has a slight obsession with travel, sunshine, Double Chocolate Milano cookies and writing novels. She didn’t travel the road to writer immediately. She spent over a decade as professional illustrator and designer. Her artistic creativity combined with her love of science fiction, paranormal and fantasy led her to write her first novel.
