Although it broke his heart to leave, Douglas never thought he'd see Connor again. Douglas truly believed becoming a priest was the only way to save both their souls. But when a beloved friend from college arrives at his rectory, he can't turn his back on her. Now he's newly widowed, and the father of a newborn.

Connor's heart has never healed from losing Douglas. Despite twenty-five years passing, Connor hopes the old promise he extracted--show up, and he'd never turn his back on him--might one day come to pass. Meanwhile, he'll raise his daughter and steal what little bits of personal time he can to help ease his lonely existence.

Yet fate is cruelly kind. Connor's boy has returned...except he became the one thing Connor cannot ever accept. The Church created bottomless wounds in Connor's soul that have never healed. Is Douglas strong enough to withstand Connor's righteous wrath, or will both men's hearts remain forever frozen?

Series Note: Most of the Suncoast Society series books are standalone works, but are best read in order to avoid spoilers and not miss any background information. You can find a full series listing page, including trivia about the series, on Tymber's website. Please see her Amazon author page for the link.

Come in From the Cold by Tymber Dalton is everything you want in a great love story and then some. This book is stand alone, the Suncoast Society series is a series that connects the characters based on the fact that all belong to the same kinky (BDSM) club.

This m/m romance is about two men each who find themselves in a place they never imagined both single dads and face to face with the love of their lives (yes, epic second chance romance)

Douglas and Connor were each other’s first love and as they story unfolds the reader knows they are also each other’s true love.

Douglas path to single fatherhood will break your heart; no I am not telling you read the book! I will say their part of the story speaks with the author’s writing ability and the depth of emotions she can pull from a reader all while making the characters in the book feel real; she transforms the character into a person.

The BDSM in this story is woven really well into the story; it allows you to understand what each man gets from the relationship and how and why Doug was always Connor’s “boy” even when they were apart and why they so easily step back into the love from years ago.

This book does touch in the sex scandal in the Catholic child; it’s role in these men’s lives is profound both in who they are now but also in their re-connecting. And I do not want to spoil it but this piece is also masterfully used to show how Douglas never forgot about Connor and never stopped wanting to make this right.

Connor’s path to single fatherhood pulls at your heart toward the end of the book in a way that is truly perfect for these men. You know, really know they are meant to be together.

The blended family these men great is not about gender or blood but love.  If you have never read a m/m love story this is a perfect place to start; you will believe really believe Doug, Connor and their children were meant to be a family.

Thank you, Ms. Dalton Come in From the Cold  is a new Top Pick; this may be an all time favorite read for me right up there with the The Reluctant Dom. A complete aside if you haven’t read The Reluctant Dom 1-cllick it now, grab a box of tissues and hold on for one heck of an emotional ride.

About Tymber Dalton

Tymber Dalton lives in southwest Florida with her husband (aka “The World’s Best Husband™”) and too many animals. The two-time EPIC award winner is the author of over 65 books and active in the BDSM lifestyle she frequently writes about.

When she’s not writing or out shooting skeet with friends, she can be found doing line edits or reading or thinking up something else to write. You can drop her a line through her website/blog and keep abreast of the latest news, views, snarkage, and general ramblings she feels like posting when the mood strikes her.

(Also published writing as Lesli Richardson, Macy Largo, and Tessa Monroe.)

I like to write my stories around the characters. I don’t “plot” my stories, I “pants” them. My characters are rarely perfect (and the perfect ones are usually first fodder for the bad nasties anyway). I like real characters, no matter how fantastic the story, that you can relate to and yet still escape with for a while. This means they’ll have warts and all.
