From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.

When I joined Seattleā€™s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captainā€™s apartment. Did I mention that heā€™s married to a woman who definitely was not her?

Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and sheā€™s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that sheā€™s not the captainā€™s mistress. Sheā€™s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.

So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isnā€™t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

I loved A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting, Stevie and Bishop’s slow burning enemies to friends to lovers storyĀ  kept me glued to my kindle.

From the moment these two you meet you feel the spark… and oh not in the I want you kind of way. I love this banter and how it continued on as these are in each other’s orbit.

Experiencing Stevie and Bishop grow and develop was so much FUN to be a part of!!! The reader can feel the friendship growing and the sexual tension well that bleeds off the pages.

Bishop and his teammate Rook, Stevie’s sister have an adversarial that add to this read and as things develop craft a story that kept me glued to my kindle.Ā  The relationship between Bishop and the team’s goalie Ryan Kingston added to Bishop’s humanity and really layered his as a character.

This one is slow burn for a reason… first these two don’t like each other and second Bishop is recovering from a groin injury.

In the end as one of Stevie’s worst fears comes true she must decide what she wants from life and I love this as you know in the end Stevie wants this!

OMG Ryan Kingston, the goalie is next I am sooooooo freaking excited for A Secret for a Secret!

This book is easily read stand alone… book one which was top pick of mine for 2020, A Lie for A Lie is the story of Stevie’s brother and Team Captain RJ.

Side note these are the only Helena Hunting books I have read so do not let these being a spin-off of another series of hers stop you from reading this greatness!
