This has become a series I truly enjoy it is hot, very hot, sometimes pushed boundaries while masterfully weaving emotions into heat.

In this story Master Holt finds himself attracted to his new neighbor single mom, Josie.

I really loved how Josie’s past and her 11 year old son played into this story.  Beneath the Scars  was a wonderful single mom romance.   There was so much layering around the backstory, around the current situation and the how Holt would integrate into their lives to become a family.

I want to pause here and say I really enjoyed the third POV for me it added to the story and helped me believe the forever happy! Nope I am not saying more read the book.

Yes in following with the series and the setting this book was hot, but the sex and BDSM was more than just hot, it was used to bond and built trust between Holt and Josie and even well used to show why this connection was so different for each of them.
