Veteran player Gage Heyward retired from the league following a successful career. Now the Titans need him, but does he have what it takes to get back on the ice and pull this team together?

After achieving the goals I set for myself, I walked away from my professional hockey career. It was a tough decision, but the right one at the time. When the Titans organization approached me about joining the team they were rebuilding following a devastating plane crash, I felt a passion for the game and a competitive spirit I hadn’t felt in years. The opportunity to make a huge difference to a lot of people spoke to me, and I accepted their offer and headed to Pittsburgh without a second thought.

Jenna Holland is also new to town, having moved from Phoenix to Pittsburgh to take a job with the Titans. Her past has left her with scars—both physical and emotional—and she’s slow to trust others. But the more I learn about Jenna, the more I want to know. The more I need to know. Because the beautiful blonde with honey gold eyes and a wall around her heart has me enamored.

My game on the ice is the best it’s ever been, but it’s my game off the ice I’m focused on these days. Because while Jenna may not be willing to take a chance, I know the potential is there for something big. Something life changing. Now I just need to convince her to take the shot.

Gage by Sawyer Bennett was such a beautiful and captivating love story!

Veteran player Gage Heyward comes to the Titans as part of their re-build. Gage has retired but feels he has something to offer this team struggling in the wake of tragedy. Now despite those words you will find Gage an uplifting and heartwarming read… yes one laced with emotions and maybe some tears but in the end, one that will make your heart happy and have you believing in love!

Gage was such a wonderful character. In this story, the reader gets to fall for a man who simply never found the right woman before…. now that he has well… no hold barred! Gage makes it very clear what he wants and what he wants is Jenna Holland.

Despite the series premise in this one, it is Jenna’s backstory that makes this story so powerful or maybe I should say how Gage approaches it and the growth the reader experiences Jenna go through.

I adored how Coach Keller was finally “handled” I am so NOT ruining this piece of the story… READ THE BOOK……

For readers of the series, this one continues some of the undertones like Coen‘s spiral and Brienne, the team owner’s desire to do right by the team. (side note I really hope she gets happy)

In the end, the happy Gage and Jenna find left me with a huge smile and reminded me why romance books make my heart happy!

This book is easily read stand alone… but I feel I would be remiss if I did not encourage you to read the Pittsburgh Titan series…. this series revolves around a professional hockey team being re-build as the original team was lost in a plane crash is phenomenal as it is layers with emotions, deep connections and builds a world that pulls the reader in.

Coen is next up in the series… as this series has developed it has become obvious Coen Highsmith is dealing with survivor’s guilt, I am so excited to experience Bennett take this character on and to have front-row seat to his healing!

And then… then…. we get Drake the single dad the league betrayed and the player who walked out of the Titan Owner’s office in Baden!
