Governor, Lieutenant and Chief combine to create a powerful and hot journey that is the Governor Trilogy.

Lesli Richardson is a pen name for Tymber Dalton an author’s whose stories I have come to rely on for heat with emotion. Each book in this trilogy adds to the story; it moves the timeline forward, and when it does share from the past it is information the reader did not know prior.  These are not three books retelling the same story from a different POV!

This trilogy left me with a book hangover that latest days… well really weeks. And long after I put down the last book, Chief my mind kept returning to this epic love story and the happy they fought so hard for.

I know this sounds crazy after I just RAVED about this trilogy; but for as crazy as it sounds Governor is a 5 star standalone read. Governor is very much Owen Taylor’s story.  When we meet Owen in college it is clear he is a bit lost. From the moment Owen and Carter meet the connection is clear and so is Carter’s dominance. Not in an jerky way (yes writing this review Amazon friendly) but in a commanding way.

As that commanding way unfolds I adored how it was made clear to the reader why Owen gets from being Carter’s submissive. Weave Susa into the mix and this story becomes so much than just two people falling in love.

Lieutenant took me placed I never excepted, on it’s own it is probably a 4.5 star read but that just might be because as I try to get my thoughts in order, I did love Governor and Chief a bit more. Susa Evans is woman who makes no apologies for her ambition and man did I love that. She also embraces her sexuality and grabs all that is offered to her with quick decisions.  Susa loves fiercely and chases her dreams while finding a way to hold onto love.

By the time I got to Chief I was ready for Carter Wilson backstory….. and the wait was so worth it. The author blew me away with the twists and turns. My heart broke like I never expects for a man who takes pride in the nickname bastard extraordinaire.  When Carter’s past does threaten to interfere with his careful constructed life; the way in which this was handled revealed so much about him.  His devotion runs deep, his mind is that of a chess master and his sexuality well…… though this was the book with the least sex it shared so much about what sex means to him.

I would be remiss if I didn’t share how much the end… oh the end… melted my heart ❤️ After investing hours in this gripping love story the end crafted the ideal happy!

I am not sure my review did this story justice as I tried not to ramble or reveal too much but I hope it is clear I highly recommend this trilogy.

GovernorLieutenant and Chief create an epic story spanning decades that kept me engrossed in the story as it unfolded. This is the kind of story that will stick with you long after you put your Kindle down. You can spend hours engrossed in this masterfully woven love story that spans decades and allows the reader to live really live in the happy these three fight for.

It should be noted the fight is not with each other this is NOT about drama, the fight is about trying to love each other when the world especially the political world wouldn’t accept their love.

I was thrilled to learn the author is going to continue to write in this world.  Writing side characters their own story in Dignity, Diligence and Desire These are on my must read list for December 2018 as they all release together on December 28, 2018.

About Tymber Dalton

Tymber Dalton lives in southwest Florida with her husband (aka “The World’s Best Husband™”) and too many animals. The two-time EPIC award winner is the author of over 65 books and active in the BDSM lifestyle she frequently writes about.

When she’s not writing or out shooting skeet with friends, she can be found doing line edits or reading or thinking up something else to write. You can drop her a line through her website/blog and keep abreast of the latest news, views, snarkage, and general ramblings she feels like posting when the mood strikes her.

(Also published writing as Lesli Richardson, Macy Largo, and Tessa Monroe.)

I like to write my stories around the characters. I don’t “plot” my stories, I “pants” them. My characters are rarely perfect (and the perfect ones are usually first fodder for the bad nasties anyway). I like real characters, no matter how fantastic the story, that you can relate to and yet still escape with for a while. This means they’ll have warts and all.
