HALTON is 100% stand alone… Halton (the man not the book) was a very minor character in the prior book in the series having been an attorney in a legal case pivotal in REID.

Halton and his damaged self…the author did a wonderful job at allowing the reader to understand this high powered divorce attorney. You know why he doesn’t believe in love and to some extend why he doesn’t allow himself to see himself as the good man he is.

I have come to love this author’s ability to craft a world that pulls me in….. and she did it again…. with some new characters to love as we learn about Hal and Fiona.

The how and why Fiona chases down Hal was well done and will tug at your heart.

As Fiona opens up to see Hal and Fee emerges I smiled for this woman who was rediscovering herself.

I adored Rene, he was Hal’s assistant and so much more… the use of him in the story helped move the plot along and made for some very heart pulling moments.

For the prior readers of this series you do see the men of BAM as they are Halton’s colleagues and used just perfectly in the story.

The happy Halton and Fee find is so perfect for them; the very last pages had me knowing Halton is able to accept love and see himself as the man Fee feel in love with.
