Things have never been more intense in New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Mafia series…

As the son of one of the States’ most prominent mob bosses, Shane Martinelli’s always been immersed in society’s shady underbelly. Learning to navigate it and keep to the edges was working just fine until an acquaintance turns up missing, and he fears the worst. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he hasn’t stopped thinking about her. Luckily, as an ex-special operative, he’s uniquely qualified to track her down and keep her safe. Unfortunately, nobody’s making that easy—not the people who took her nor the woman herself.

Ivie Jordan has led a pretty uneventful life, and that’s just how she likes it. Especially since she’ll be the first to admit that she doesn’t do so well in social situations. She’s a proud business owner, and while she doesn’t have family, she does have a network of people who look out for her. Little did she know that being accepted into that fold came with a laundry list of issues. When the worst happens, and she’s forced to rely on the ruggedly handsome alpha hero who comes to her rescue, she discovers her inner badass—and the sultry vixen on her other shoulder.

Too bad the two of them are literally running for their lives and trying to ensure the safety of those they love. There is way more at stake than meets the eye.

It’s time for the hunted to become the hunters.

Headhunter by Kristen Proby is a book I have been excited about since closing book 1 Underboss as Proby did a great job with the lead-in to Shane and Ivie’s story.

Shane Martinelli is so much more than just the son of a major crime boss…. the hint of mystery about him in book is quickly revealed to the reader in the opening pages and man are they WOW.

Shane is then forced right into the …. well I am not going to tell you the catalyst… read the story… what I will say is the forced proximity the storyline leads to putting these two in each other orbit and the best part is that Proby does an amazing job allowing the reader to feel the connection. A connection both have been fighting a connection that runs deep!

I loved Ivie’s strength throughout the whole book; this woman is powerfully, has taken control of her own destiny from a very young age, and isn’t afraid to ask for when she wants. And her lack of self-love for her body makes her so very real feel to the read.

The way Shane addresses Ivie’s lack of self-love for her body set this book on fire!

Ivie and Shane slowly allow the other to see the past and secrets they have kept buried; and as this happened it is so very clear they belong together!

Watching them become so connected is the pure romance that has become this author’s trademark.

And OMG I need Rafe and Annika’s story now… so it is a good thing Off the Read releases VERY SOON!

Oh and please Proby a story for Shane’s caretaker and friend Curt… this beautifully tortured man deserves his HAPPY!!!!

As I said in my review of Underboss, mafia-based isn’t always my jam… but in With Me in Series Mafia series the author delivers pure Proby magic so please 1-click the series and ENJOY the Martinelli brothers!
