Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras. His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

Be still my heart… could Triple J be any more perfect! A hardworking, focused and smart athlete…let’s not even talk about the accent OMG. When you combine that with and a feisty, spitfire of a heroine… you a fun, cute romance.

I just love how these two meet…Jackson doesn’t apologize for who he is and his feeling of hunger (for food! lol) and his ability to do whatever he wants because he’s well known on campus and going pro football… he always gets his way!

But Charlie doesn’t care about this big guy with his blaring headlights, always driving down Jock Road and she’s gonna tell him to his face. *dying*

I laughed at their fun banter and really enjoyed getting to know them more…especially with Jackson’s laser-eye focus on football and seeing what his priorities were and what a great guy he was underneath it all.

I wish it didn’t feel quite so rushed toward the middle and end…but overall this was a fun, college sports romance filled with Ney’s humor that will put a smile on your face. Can’t wait for more!!
