I don’t want you.
You mean nothing to me.
I never loved you.
I turned my words into swords.
And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall.
I said I’d never hurt her and I did.
Years later I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted when all I wanted was to indulge in my obsession.
Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of.
I used to be the one who saved her.
Over and over again.
But I don’t want to save her anymore.
I just want to pretend the lies are still the truth.

*Little Lies is a 105k standalone new adult romance.

Little Lies by Helena Hunting writing is H. Hunting is a 5 Star, Top Pick, Book Hangover inducing read… a book that had me trying to force myself to read slowly so that I could savor every word… a book that has me wishing I can just say READ THIS BOOK in shouty caps and every reader would….

I am going to try, try to do this story justice in hope that you will dive in and enjoy the ride…

Lavender and Kodiak are soulmates, soulmates who understand each other at such a deep co-dependent level the fear is they made each other mental health issues worse.

Hunting blew me away with this story, her attention to detail, the time and care spent on Lavender, and Kodiak’s “issues.” What readers as her desire to try to help the reader understand the depth of Lavender and Kodiak’s emotions and each of their fights to find coping mechanisms.

Lavender and Kodiak’s story was almost a case study in learning how to manage yourself before you can be good for someone else.

I adored that Hunting made it very clear throughout the whole book that mental health is not managed by someone else’s love; no matter how much they love you or “complete” you or “understand” you.

Hunting crafts a world that will pull you in and have you engrossed in it. I am so excited for more from the secondary characters in this series…. for Lavendar’s brothers, Maverick and River … for her cousin the male figure skater BJ and .. I need to know why Quinn is so angry!

In the end, the happy Kodiak and Lavender find comes with hard work on each of their parts (some thanks to Queenie their therapist) and in being honest with themselves and each other. It truly is the ideal happy for THEM!

Kodiak’s parents have they’re happy told in a book I adored A Lie for A Lie and Lavendar’s parents star in Pucked (which is on sale for 99 cents)

Little Lies was pure literacy genius laced with deep emotions!

I hope my review did this author’s words and story some justice……

This book is COMPLETELY standalone so no worries if you are new to this author, I truly can not recommend this book enough.

I’m a big fan of Helena’ s books. This one had me curious since it seemed to diverge a bit from her usual style….now I HAVE to read it!
