Love and the right timing were two things I didn't believe in.

Love is about walking to the edge of the cliff and taking the leap together.

I haven’t read a Claire Contreras book in a while so was excited to read Then There Was You, book 1 in her new duet series.

I simply love friends to more books and Rowan and Tessa have such a history together. From growing up together, to being the best of friends, and then losing touch with each other for a bit… I loved the look into their past to find out what went wrong and to see how they could make things right in the present now.

From the readers perspective we see Tessa’s adoration of Rowan very early-on and with Rowan we see more about his family, how they treated him and his brother Sam and what makes him the man he is today—fearful of love, emotions, and relationships.

There were times throughout my read that there was almost too much telling and I will admit that it got a little slow for me but there is this moment in the book that everything just came together… maybe it was the romance… maybe it was the honest feelings finally coming to light, but everything just clicked for me and I devoured all of the words.

With the choices they need to make for their futures and the OMG moment at the end, I CAN NOT wait to get my hands on book 2—My Way Back to You—to see how everything will turn out. Thankfully we don’t have long to wait!
