Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy.
He's a rough. Dirty. Giant. Hair so unruly, and a beard so thick, his friends on the team call him Sasquatch.
The first time Sasquatch lays eyes on Theodora "Teddy" Johnson across the keg at a party one night on Jock Row, she'd been relegated to the sidelines by her jock hungry "friends."
Week-after-week, he watches beautiful but bashful Teddy getting overshadowed, and overlooked. Sasquatch finally broad shoulders his way through the crowd, offering to to be her hairy godmother. But the minute their eyes meet? He's a goner.
Teaching her the RULES for winning a jock will be the easy part. Not falling in love with her is going to be a losing game.

I really enjoy reading Sara Ney books and Jock Rule was romantic and tons of fun. Kip Carmichael may be known as Sasquatch on and off the rugby field because of his long hair and unkept look, and he may do this purposefully to keep girls away but in my mind I just LOVE me a man with long hair (in a man bun!) and a beard (though I do prefer the shorter length than it being longer but still… OMG be still my heart!) I kept picturing a cross between Chris Hemsworth and Jason Momoa while reading 😍😍😍

Teddy is the girl next door… the girl on an academic grant to attend school because she and her mom don’t have much but she is a hard worker and kind and a good friend though she doesn’t seem to surround herself by good people 🙁

Kip and Teddy meet over the keg at a jock party and what starts off as awkward turns quickly to Hairy Godmother status to then something more. I have to say that I was surprised at Teddy’s inexperience but I loved watching Kip show her the way both in the aspect of what it means to be a good friend but also in the sexy, hot way later on in the book. I loved their interactions, the eye rolls, and their protectiveness of each other, each seeing the other for who they truly are both inside and out.

Where it fell for me a bit… I wanted more. I wanted to feel their connection and I didn’t always feel more than just the friendship. I was also saddened at Teddy’s response to Kip revealing what was beneath the beard. In my mind, I am still picturing Chris Hemsworth and Jason Momoa so regardless of how long their beard is, how unkept they could be, I could still see what was underneath, I could still see the handsomeness, so it was a surprise to me to see her complete shock.

In the end, I love a good happy ending and I love even more that his sister was right lol… Read the book! Sara creates fun stories… each one more different than the one before and I love her characters and stories and can’t wait to read more in this series and anything else she writes. <3
