The Effing List by Cherise Sinclair was such an amazing look at love later in life!

This story tells the story of Colonel “Ghost” Blackwood and Valerie Winbourne. Ghost is an injured retired Special Forces Colonel who is a dominant sadist Master at Shadowlands (the club that ties this series together).  Valerie is a divorced mother of two adult children.

The use of both characters’ backstories was powerful as both have had a lot to deal with in their lives. It was really enjoyable to experience Valerie and Ghost work their way through thier pasts popping up and how their relationship is accepted or not accepted. This aspect of the stories really respected that fact these two come to each other later in life with all the experiences that brings with it

These two were so meant to be with each other… but when they found each other!

I adore the Masters of the Shadowland series and HIGHLY recommend it is BDSM is your jam!

Though book fifteen in Cherise Sinclair’s Masters of Shadowlands series this book is easily read standalone! If you are a fan of the series you see snapshots of prior characters’ lives.
